Our Mission
ShakaLife is all about spreading good vibes, one shirt at a time. In a world where so much negativity surrounds us—especially on the clothes keiki (children) see every day—we believe apparel can be a force for aloha. Every design we create is meant to inspire, uplift, and share positive values that our community can live by.
The Story Behind the Shaka
The shaka—our universal symbol of aloha, friendship, and good energy—is everything we're about. Born right here in Hawaii, it represents kindness, connection, and ohana spirit. At ShakaLife, we chose this iconic gesture because it speaks louder than words, reminding us to approach life with gratitude, respect, and joy.
Why We Started
After years creating educational materials on positive virtues and life skills through our nonprofit work, we noticed something that didn't sit right: the messages on clothing that keiki encounter daily are often filled with negativity, sarcasm, or even hate. We knew we could do better.
ShakaLife came from a simple but powerful idea—what if every t-shirt could be a walking billboard for kindness? What if our keiki could see and wear messages that build them up instead of tearing others down?
